There is an African proverb that says “it takes a village to raise a child”, it’s referring to community and the roles we each hold. At Human Health we believe that “it takes a community for us to achieve our full potential and health”.
For most people, to think that there is a link between your dental health, jaw function and spinal health would sound like madness. “They are 2 separate areas of the body that have nothing to do with each other” is perhaps something i would have even said many years ago!
The nervous system? Many of us recognise the words ‘nervous system’ but what really is it? Why is it so important? Without complicating the already complicated, our nervous system consists of our brain, spinal cord and nerves and it is responsible for everything in our body, conscious and unconscious.
EAT, SLEEP, POO and GROW, that’s what babies do and they will continue like that until they hit skeletal maturity at 18 years of age as a female and 21 years of age as a male. Our brains reach full maturity around 25 years of age and as adults the only difference is that we EAT, SLEEP, POO and RECOVER. Sometimes in a world where everyone is worried about getting sick we forget that we are designed to be healthy.
